At Saeby Fish Canners Ltd., the production of mackerel is completely without chemicals. Instead of caustic soda and hydrochloric acid, we – as the only manufacturer in the world – use hot water to skin the fish.
Consequently, our cans are free of the hormone-disrupting chemical BPA, which typically found on the inside of preserved cans that you find in the supermarket shelves.
In short: Canned mackerel from Saeby Fish Canners Ltd., contains no caustic soda, no hydrochloric acid, no preservatives and no artificial seasonings. Only pure mackerel in tomato sauce.
