- 2 cans mackerel in sweet soy sauce
- 8 green asparagus
- 1 spring onion
- Juice of 1 lime
- Lime wedges
- ½ dl soy
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 clove garlic
- 1,5 dl rice
- Sesame seeds
This is how you do it
Start by cooking the rice.
Break the woody part of the asparagus and grill until they are tender and have gotten some colour. When cooked, cut the asparagus in smaller pieces.
In a pot, put juice of 1 lime, 0,5 dl soy, a clove of garlic that is chopped, and a tsp. sugar.
Open the cans with mackerel just enough for you to pour the sauce into the pot.
Boil the sauce until starts to thicken.
If necessary, taste with more lime.
Open the cans and pick up the mackerel fillets, keeping the fillets as whole as possible and place them in the saucepan.
Over medium heat, warm the mackerel in the sauce, use a spoon to put sauce over the mackerel.
Sprinkle the mackerel with sesame seed.
Serve the mackerel on top of rice with the grilled asparagus, lime wedges, and thinly sliced spring onion.
