How do we use your personal data and what are our legal justifications for doing so?

When you contact us by mail/phone or via platforms, such as, Facebook, Instagram, or Linkedin, we are treating the personal data that occurs in your enquiry to us. E.g. if you reach out to us on Facebook, we will, through Facebook, receive some personal information about you, such as, your name and photo. We will usually answer your enquiry on the same medium your enquiry is sent to. When contacting us by phone, we will, if necessary, for the purpose of documenting our customers’ inquiries, note your name and the purpose of the enquiry down. For this matter, you should be attentive of our procedures when you contact us by phone, the relevant information you share with us may be added to our system.

At Saeby Fish Canners Ltd. we registrate information of a contact from each of our customers, partners, and distributors. We usually store name, title, e-mail, and phone number of the contact. Additionally, we keep a continuous visitation report from meetings with our customers, where we store information about the contact, agreements, and the customers’ wishes. Some personal data might be collected during these meetings; however, it is never sensitive information that is stored. The purpose of storing and processing this information is to be able to administrate the agreed upon deal.

We often host visits and larger functions where registration is necessary, in this case we will be storing information, such as, names, workplace, position, and e-mail. This is necessary in according to manage registrations for a visit or a function. If you are participating in a function, you should note that we in some cases will be recording current scenarios from the function to share on our social media platforms and/or our website. The purpose of this is to brand the functions we host, and to brand ourselves. If you do not wish to appear on any of these recordings, you are always able to inform us of this at the very beginning of or during the visit/function.
